What causes anxiety?

While there is no known cause, it is accepted by most researchers that the causes include environmental and emotional factors (how you handle stressful and traumatic events or tension such as the loss of a job, family problems including divorce or the health or death of a loved one), brain chemistry and neurotransmitters (the chemical messengers between the bodies cells and the brain), genetics and family history or a physical and other health conditions. And of course a combination of all of these disorders.

 

What causes panic attacks?

Drinking or doing drugs, can bring on panic disorders. Caffeine is also known to bring on panic attacks. Not drinking, caffeine or alcohol, or doing drugs may help make your stress or anxiety less severe and more mild or even eliminate it altogether. And it is just plain good for your health. Any of those combined with excess worry and/or nervous thoughts can lead to a panic attack and/or anxiety disorders.

 

What are some common causes of stress?

Stress is a part of our daily lives. You can experience stress because of many internal and external stressors. Internal stressors such as illness, or psychological stress. Internal stressors can be a worry about an event that has happened or they fear may happen. External stress would include having consistent money problems, family and spousal relationships, your job or work conditions, even weather and temperatures. Stress is also defined as short-term and long-term stress. Acute or short-terms stress can be something that is an immediate threat. The body prepares for a flight or fight response. Chronic or long-term stress can be any event that is continues to re-occur and on going. Sudden noise, crowds, being alone, danger, hunger, and being physically sick may cause acute stress. Chronic stress could include bad workplace conditions and problems, on going family troubles, isolation, and extended financial problems, etc..

 

Stress causes of college students?

Teens and college students are often more susceptible to anxiety and panic attacks than adults are, students in high school and college have the concerns and social pressures at schools (sports, looking good, friends and peer pressure) and academic pressures (tests and the fear of not measuring up to the plans parents put on their kids). All of these can and often do lead to stress, depression or even more acute disorders. College students are often on their own for the first time, have no one to supervise their study habits or their extracurricular activities (they may ‘think this is great, … but). They often are forced into the need to behave as an adult, yet they still feel like a teenagers.

 

Causes of stress in the workplace?

One of the most stressful events is the job or career. Most companies and business are doing everything possible to reduce stress in the workplace, however pressure on employees to produce, sell, or keep pace in today’s demanding markets is, in short, … stressful . Do your best to focus on what is positive about your job. Eliminate tasks that are unnecessary, or if possible, delegate to co-workers how are less busy. Try to remember that your boss is likely faced with the same stressors they are imposing on their employees. And think about how lucky you are to have a job, a fair number of people would ‘love’ to have your job.
